Baby Boot Camp!

Considering every single muscle group in my body is sore, I would say that Baby Boot Camp was a success! I would like to thank Patty Porro, franchise owner and instructor, for inviting me to her class Friday morning in Sunset Place.

Although I am baby-less, and I was not the only one, the group was very welcoming and Patty found alternatives for us.  Baby Boot Camp is an outdoor personal training session in a group environment.  After childbirth there are certain precautions you need to take and Patty specializes in this.  Not only is the class amazing because you can workout with your baby, but there is a camaraderie that grows among the mothers that’s irreplaceable.

I witnessed that the class is also very therapeutic.  While stretching, we went around in a circle to introduce ourselves. At this time we each shared one thing this week that our baby did to frustrate us.  Mother’s shared that their baby did not sleep, they wet the bed, etc.  I could tell that the venting and relating really was an important part to the class.

Contemporary, artistic, and fun are just three words to describe Stephanie Anders Photography. While looking through Stephanie’s photographs I felt my eyes swell up with tears, the pictures are just that beautiful! Stephanie Anders offers photography for expectant parents, newborns, children, and families.  The photo shoots take place in the comfort of your own home or on location at one of Miami’s beautiful beaches or parks.

Stephanie’s deep passion for photography started over ten years ago. She strives to create images that will be classic and timeless while maintaining a modern feel.  She loves lots of color, but is equally as passionate about black and white. Not only do customers come back for more because her artwork is gorgeous, but because she is very patient with the families.  We can all admit that children have their moments, and coincidentally they always seem to happen during a photo shoot, right?!  Stephanie will take the time to wait for the child(ren) to be happy and calmed down. She will never rush a shoot.  Her clients always compliment her on their good, fun, and non-stressful experiences!

A Taste of Pinecrest

Wow! I am still full from the Taste of Pinecrest that took place Saturday, March 3^rd.  The event that was hosted by the Pinecrest Business Association and Jackson South Community Hospital certainly knew what they were doing.  From long-jumping a karate kick over eleven kids to juicy pulled pork sandwiches, Pinecrest Gardens was the place to be.  The best part about it all is that it was all to support the local public schools!

I indulged in and can’t wait for more from some of the best local restaurants and caterers including Black Point Ocean Grill, Sir Pizza, The Butcher Shop, Chick-Fil-A, A Smoothie and A Wrap Guy, and Dream Dinners. Wow, I didn’t realize I ate that much until looking back…oops!

Mother Nature was on our side with her clear skies, and beaming sun! So incase you wanted to cool off, Pinecrest Gardens has that covered for you.  Have fun and splash around (get the kids nice and tired for nap time) for only $3 per child!

My most favorite part of the event was the Whole Food Kids Culinary Corner! Local chefs were teaching children how to cook healthy meals.  The chefs entertained the children and became more like a friend than a teacher to them.  I think this is such a great idea, if you can get on that level with a kid they will definitely appreciate what you say.  I bet you these kids went home that night and wanted to eat a health meal!
